Riza hawkeye dog8/8/2023 With every article of clothing discarded, she shivered as he observed, almost as though her clothing was actually suffocating her. Despite her attempt at keeping her composure, her form was quivering. Roy could see the lieutenant's body was slick with sweat. "I think it'd do Hayate well to have a playmate." "She's friendlier than you think," Roy responded. "I was always more worried about how it would react to seeing him," Riza said as she brought her hands to the hem of her black turtleneck. "You're not worried about how he'll react?" "You decided to keep him in the room tonight?" Roy remarked as he casually pet the puppy. Looking down, he saw Riza's loyal Shiba Inu puppy Black Hayate looking up at him eagerly. Roy eyed her as he placed the bag onto the table, ruffling through it to reveal several wrapped streaks, fairly large ones at that.Ī distinct panting distracted him. Riza continued on into a wide open space right in the middle of her flat that was always conspicuous in its lack of any furniture. "Ah Colonel," Riza said with slight anxiety in her voice. Soft brown eyes looked up at him, a notable contrast from how steely and focused they were at all other times aside from that one particular month. He could hear the sound of several locks being undone before the door creaked open. Or perhaps, it was because of the rather eerie noises that came from his bodyguard's room once a month. Riza's status as a member of the military academy probably had something to do with that. The arrival on the third floor was completely silent in contrast. The trek up the stairs brought with it the usual round of whispering gossip on the second floor, Roy ignoring the occasional eyes peering through cracked open doors. There was the friendly greeting and nod of the head to the landlord, who by now had all but grown disinterested in the colonel, the novelty of his status having been worn out through repeated visits having worn off. The trip through the apartment to Riza's flat went about as usual. It may have not helped certain rumors when he showed up at the doorstep of his bodyguard, Riza Hawkeye, but it was a rumor mill he was willing to perpetuate if it meant keep more discerning eyes off of him and his team. It wasn't particularly out of the ordinary for him to be carrying a grocery bag. No, this was just a part of a private routine, no different from any other citizen. There was no need for him to put on a mask, carry himself as though the activity was natural when his consciousness told him he had something particularly dark to hide. By this point, Colonel Roy Mustang's nightly commute had become second nature.
